Dr. Lee's advanced anesthesia training, part of his medical and surgical education, allows him to offer the full spectrum of sedation in-office: local anesthesia for straightforward cases, nitrous oxide for light relaxation, IV sedation for a sleep-like experience, and general anesthesia for complex cases or patients with significant anxiety. Most wisdom teeth patients choose IV sedation and remember nothing of the procedure.
What to Expect and Recovery
The procedure is an outpatient visit at our Cupertino office, typically 30 to 60 minutes. Swelling and mild discomfort peak around day two and resolve over the following days. A soft food diet is recommended for the first week, and most patients return to school or work within 3 to 5 days.
